Yeovil Town remain in the relegation zone after a frustrating defeat against Southend which saw them end the game with nine men.
The Glovers were the better side in the first half, but went in 1-0 down at the break after Lee Barnard converted a penalty for the Shrimpers.
And they had chances to level before Hal Robson-Kanu extended Southend's advantage with five minutes left with a long-range strike.
Danny Schofield gave the Glovers hope by pulling a goal back almost immediately, but Town's hopes of salvaging point were ended by two red cards in injury time.
Schofield was sent off by referee Keith Hill for a tackle near the touchline as Southend attacked to reduce the Glovers to ten men.
And then Gary Roberts was shown a second yellow card for dissent seconds later to leave Town with just nine men on the pitch.
Town had made two changes to their starting line-up, with Gavin Tomlin replacing the injured Aidan Downes and Aaron Brown making his first league start for the club in place of Terrell Forbes.

Southend included three former Town loanees in their squad, with Kevin Betsy and Jean-Francois Christophe in the team and James Walker on the bench.
The Glovers started well and Gavin Tomlin came close on seven minutes, turning sharply on the edge of the box before shooting just wide.
The same player then forced a good save from United keeper Adam Federici, firing in a first time volley from Lee Peltier's high cross.
Schofield failed to connect with a Peltier cross as Yeovil dominated the opening exchanges - but Southend took the lead against the run of play on 22 minutes.
Alex Revell put Barnard clear of the home defence and Nathan Jones tripped the Shrimpers striker as he tried to recover.
The referee had no hesitation in awarding a penalty and Barnard stepped forward to confidently beat Asmir Begovic from 12 yards.
Yeovil tried to hit back, with Gary Roberts shooting over from 20 yards and Federici saving well from Brown.
Just before half-time Southend broke through again as they mounted a rare attack, but Brown denied Revell with a brilliant last-ditch tackle.
But the big defender then missed a great chance to level when he mis-kicked from close range when Tomlin side-footed across goal.
In the second half Roberts produced another decent save from Federici and the Aussie keeper also kept out a fierce shot from Paul Warne.
But Southend again scored against the run of play to double their advantage with five minutes left, Robson-Kanu firing in from the edge of the penalty area.
Yeovil immediately hit back, with Andre McCollin bursting into the area and crossing for Schofield to convert at the back post.
But the Glovers then failed to find an equaliser and saw two of their players sent off in the closing seconds of the game.
Schofield was dismissed for a tackle near the corner flag before Roberts was given a second yellow card for dissent and also ordered off.
