For the third time this season Yeovil Town conceded a late goal that cost them valuable points in their quest for a second shot at promotion.
Yeovil had been leading through a 62nd. minute Matty Rose goal and looking comfortable for another away victory, after a somewhat stuttering first half performance.

Manager Russell Slade had to make one change when striker Marcus Stewart failed a fitness test on his sore hamstring but Lee Peltier was able to return at right back to give a very familiar look to the defence.
Rovers started brightly, as their manager had predicted they would, and had a lot of early possession as they strived to gain control.

As early as the sixth minute Pipe went close with a header as Rovers pressed their possession home.
Lambert was next to go close on fifteen minutes when his shot only made the side netting from a Campbell free kick as Yeovil seemed fairly happy to soak up the pressure.

The Glovers were finding it hard to mount a really worth while attack as the midfield tried in vain to wrestle control of the midfield, but the defence was looking as solid as ever with Terrell Forbes and Scott Guyett in outstanding form at the moment.
Slowly, though very slowly, Yeovil were beginning to get into a few more attacking positions and on the half hour point it was clear that Warne and Barry in particular were beginning to gain a foothold.

In the 39th. minute Rose had a good effort from 20 yards and then Yeovil had a gilt edged chance to go ahead when a Scott Guyett header seemed goalbound only to be cleared off the line.
Yeovil were at last showing a bit of intent but just before half time they had a let off when Walker volleyed over.

As the half closed Owusu had a chance that went wide but to be fair it had mainly been the home side pressing for the goal.
Russell Slade changed his shape at the start of the second half moving Kevin Betsy into a striking role to support Owusu and the move very nearly paid off within a minute when Lloyd forced a great save out of Phillips.

Yeovil were looking far more controlled as the half wore on with more possession and attacking intent.
Rovers were still having their moments but the pressure was nothing like as intent as in the first half and just after the hour Yeovil went in front with a rare Matty Rose goal.

Betsy broke down the right and crossed for Rose to run in and side foot home.
Two minutes later though and there was more injury woe for Slade when Peltier limped off after another superb display to be replaced by Mark Lynch as Yeovil started to look far more comfortable.

Betsy felt very aggrieved when he broke through to be upended but received nothing for his efforts as Yeovil comfortable ran down the minutes, but with referee Keith Stroud adding on four minutes of injury time a late goal was again to deny The Glovers of all three points.

With probably only twenty odd seconds to go a lofted free kick by Carruthers somehow eluded Scotty Guyatt to land at the feet of Elliott who sidefooted home beating Romain Larrieu in his last Yeovil game.

As soon as the referee allowed the match to restart he blew for time to send the Glovers home frustrated for the third time this season.

What makes it all the more difficult to take is the knowledge that but for those late goals Yeovil could be sitting on top of the table and not eighth as they are now.

All in all though a draw was probably a fair result in the light of Rovers first half performance, although it doesn't help the frustration felt by all Glovers tonight.
