Yeovil continued their fantastic record against Doncaster Rovers by claiming a vital win against the promotion chasing side on Good Friday.
Yeovil have only lost once in eight years to Doncaster at Huish Park and their performance was not that of a side trying to steer clear of the relegation zone.

The players were clearly delighted with the result at the end of the game and manager Russell Slade was also pleased with his side.
"A really big win I thought for us today. I thought we deserved it. I asked for some grit and determination and I felt as if I got that."

Doncaster's keeper Neil Sullivan had an early clash with Lloyd Owusu when the Glovers striker claimed that he had been studded in the groin by the former Scotland international.
Yeovil were given a scare with Scott Flinders fumbling a cross in front of Doncaster's prolific forward Paul Heffernan.

Yeovil then scored the opener in the 21st minute. Anthony Barry's free kick found the head of Skipper Terry Skiverton who powered the ball past the helpless Sullivan.
Doncaster threatened again, this time from Stuart Elliott who headed the ball narrowly wide of the post from James O'Connor's cross.

Sullivan's afternoon then turned into a nightmare in the 30th minute when he gifted the Glovers a second goal.
Former Glover Adam Lockwood played the ball back to his keeper who was quickly closed down by Owusu.

Owusu tackled the Doncaster keeper and with the goal at his mercy put the ball away to double the Glover's lead.
James Coppinger had a shot blocked by Terrell Forbes as Doncaster attempted to reduce the deficit.

In stoppage time in the first half Scott Guyett was guilty of fouling Stuart Elliott just outside the Glovers penalty area. But Elliott could not find the net with his free kick as he drove it against the wall.
Half time: Yeovil Town 2 Doncaster Rovers 0

The conditions worsened in the second half as the rain belted down and the Glovers battled with the wind.
Flinders was called into action in the 49th minute after neat link-up in the box between James Coppinger and Paul Heffernan drew a reflex save from the Glovers keeper.

Doncaster countered two minutes later and would have been in a three-on-one situation had James O'Connor's first touch been better, fortunately for Yeovil, Scott Guyett was there in time to intercept.

Neil Sullivan's nightmare afternoon nearly got worse when he fumbled Anthony Barry's long-range strike. Luckily for the keeper Lloyd Owusu didn't react quick enough to get to the ball and he was spared more blushes.
A left footed drive from Stuart Elliott nearly pegged the Glovers back, but slight deflection off of Scott Guyett diverted the ball narrowly wide of Flinders left hand post.

Marcus Stewart was close to making it 3-0 when Barry's corner fell to him on the penalty spot. Stewart's left footed effort flew wide of Sullivan's post.
Gareth Robert tested Flinders in the 64th minute with Yeovil's keeper making a smart save to his right hand side.

Paul Heffernan struck in the 73rd minute for make it 2-1 when the ball finally reached him after neat link up play by the Donny midfield.
The striker's right-footed toe poke beat Flinders in the Yeovil goal and ensured a tense last 18 minutes for the Huish Park crowd.

Substitute Gareth Taylor drew a save from Flinders straight after Doncaster's goal. The forward rose above the Glovers defence to get his header on target.

Yeovil sat back on the pressure from Doncaster in the last few minutes but managed to keep them out.

Slade played down his side's certainty of League One football next season but believed that "one more win should get us through. We've got seven games left and we want to finish on a high note."
