Yeovil battled to a second consecutive 1-1 draw at Huish Park against Leeds this afternoon.
Yeovil boss, Russell Slade was pleased with the draw, even thought the Glovers were close to clinching the win.

"It was a strange game at times, you never know what's on the next page in football. In the end, we didn't quite make it an epic by getting the winner."
Yeovil had the worst start possible and found themselves 1-0 down 26 seconds after the start of the game.

Luciano Becchio latched onto a Jonathan Howson pass and found the net with a weak shot that crept past Glovers Keeper Asmir Begovic.
It could have been 2-0 in the 5th minute when Jermaine Beckford found the ball at his feet after a deflection off of Nathan Jones fell to the prolific striker.

Fortunately for the Glovers Beckford's shot went well over the bar.
Yeovil boss Russell Slade was forced to make an early substitution with Danny Schofield being replaced by Lloyd Owusu, after the former Huddersfield winger injured his ankle in a 50-50 challenge with Frazier Richardson.

Beckford's forward runs were causing problems for the Yeovil backline as he got in the box again but dragged his shot wide.
Yeovil had their first effort on goal in the 29th minute with Lee Peltier rising above the Leeds defence to head Darren Way's corner straight at Casper Ankergren.

Both sides were left battling for possession as the second half drew to a close with the Glovers starting to string some neat passes together and threaten the Leeds goal.

As the second half resumed Yeovil were hit with another injury worry. This time Aidan Downes went off and was replaced by latest signing, Gary Roberts.

Yeovil should have found themselves level in the 52nd minute when a goal mouth scramble fell to Paul Warne who fired his right footed volley wide from 6 yards out.
Robert Snodgrass tried a speculative effort in the 58th minute that was dropped by Begovic, but fortunately for the Canadian the ball trickled wide of his post.

Yeovil were then awarded a penalty in the 60th minute for a push on Paul Warne by Paul Huntington.
Up stepped last seasons top scorer, Lloyd Owusu, who had his penalty saved by Ankergren but Owusu got the ball in time to pass it into the net to make it 1-1.

"I didn't see the penalty, it's the first one I've had in 151 games so I wasn't expecting it. Fair play to referee who's spotted it off of the ball." said Slade.
Yeovil then took it up a gear with the slick passing cutting through Leeds' defence.

Gavin Tomlin crossed the ball across the six-yard box and Leeds skipper Richardson's sliced clearance fell to Darren Way who blasted the ball high and wide.
Tomlin almost bagged himself a goal in the 71st minute with a fantastic chip from 20 yards that Ankergren just managed to get a hand on to keep out.
"Tomlin's got that confidence that he can try and chip someone whose 6 foot 5 from forty yards." said Slade.

Beckford broke clear of the Glovers defence minutes later but dragged the ball wide with a poor shot.
Yeovil could have been 2-1 up in the 81st minute after Warne stole the ball from Richardson.
The veteran's effort was destined for the net until Alan Sheehan's last-ditch header diverted the ball wide of the goal.
Leeds pushed on for a late winner and were nearly caught napping by the Glovers when Tomlin broke through on goal but was denied by an inspirational tackle by Sheehan.
