Yeovil Town will face Middlesbrough at the Riverside in the Carling Cup on Tuesday.

It will be the first time that the Glovers have faced Middlesbrough in their history and will no doubt be an exciting experience for the Glovers players.

Yeovil will also want to carry out another giant killing this season after a first round victory over Charlton.

Russell Slade has only received one home tie in his time at Huish Park so although a huge task the Yeovil manager will be looking to continue his team's cup run at The Riverside.

It will be Middlesbrough's third game this season after a win against Tottenham on the opening day and a defeat against Liverpool this past Saturday.

Yeovil will again be affected by injuries with Aidan Downes a definite non-starter and a big doubt about Danny Schofield. But on the positive side Marc Bircham has returned to training and is expected to play a part.

Darren Way had a scan over the weekend on his cheekbone but no break was sustained so he is expected to play a part.

New loan signing Gary Roberts is also expected to play a part ,but Asmir Begovic will have to sit it out as Portsmouth have requested he is not cup-tied.

That will me a return for Canadian Josh Wagenaar whose heroics at The Valley were a big reason that Yeovil find themselves up against The Premier League's Middlesbrough.
