Yeovil Town Football Club have been unable to finalise the deal with Port Vale Striker Luke Rodgers today due to the Striker being hit with a flu bug.

Speaking at the Press briefing this afternoon Russell was hopeful that the deal would be finalised tomorrow.

"He is in bed with the Flu and we are likely to finalise the deal tomorrow. Russell said

"We were hoping to do that today but it is going to be tomorrow.

"We are hoping that he is going to be fit enough to train tomorrow, but we will have to wait and see.

"The deal has been finalised verbally and I have text him and spoken to him and he is not well, his agent has also been in contact with me as well.

"He is hoping to travel down tonight, fingers crossed, and hopefully after a good night's sleep he will be feeling a lot better.

When asked about the situation with Stockport County defender Gareth Owen he added

"The Chief Executive is still in talks with the player, so hopefully something will materialise and hopefully sooner rather than later."
