Scott Guyett joined Yeovil Town from Chester City in July 2004, and despite not always being the first choice in the team, he played an important role in the club's success since entering the Football League.

The 6'3" central defender was born in Ascot in Berkshire, but was bought up in Australia.

He has spent the whole of his senior football career in England, and up until joining Yeovil had had a long standing working relationship with one-time Manager Mark Wright, following the former England defender to three different clubs.

Scott started his career at Southport where he made 84 appearances scoring 11 goals.

He then followed Mark Wright to Oxford United in 2001 where he went on to make a further 23 appearances, before yet again following his manager this time to Chester City, where he made a total of 58 appearances, scoring four goals.

Scott is an experienced defender who is very reliable and more than capable of covering for both Terrell Forbes and Terry Skiverton in central defence.

Following some fine performances at the end of last season, Scott signed a new two years contract in the summer, and should hopefully continue an important role as the squad continues to look for promotion to the championship.
