Promising goalkeeper Darren Behcet was the first signing made during the summer of 2006, arriving at Huish Park from West Ham United, on the same week as Russell Slade joined the club.
Earlier in his career the youngster had been considered one of the Hammers' highly rated youth team players, but was released from his Upton Park contract at the end of the 2005/06 season, leaving him free to join Yeovil.
Although Darren failed to break into the West Ham senior line-up, he did in 2005 manage to gain some valuable first team football, appearing 7 times for Cambridge United.
Since arriving at Huish Park Darren has played understudy to the more senior Steve Mildenhall, and is yet to make a competitive first team appearance.
However, he has impressed in the reserves, and seems to have a bright future.
Darren is presently on a long term loan at Conference South side Dorchester Town to gain to some valuable first team experience.
