Matty Rose signed for Yeovil Town in January 2007 after a long career with West London club Queens Park Rangers.

He started his career as a trainee with Arsenal, and went on to captain their FA Youth Cup winning team of 1994, before going on to make his first team debut in March 1996 against Manchester City.

In total he made five league appearances for the Gunners, before moving to QRR in May 1997 for £500,000, where he made 260 appearances in all competitions for the club.

Matty mainly operates in the right back position, which is where he spent much of his Loftus Road career.

However, he can play right across the back line, and is equally comfortable operating as a sweeper or in the holding role in midfield.

Once fit, Matty proved a fine addition to the Glovers' squad this last season, and having signed a contract extension during the summer, his flexibility and experience is now proving invaluable as Yeovil once more push for promotion to the Championship.
