Having swept to the South West Women's Premier Division Championship and Pat Sowden Cup double in 2006/07, the Yeovil Town ladies are now in their second season in the South West Combination Women's Football League, which is the third tier of English Ladies football.

They had a pleasing first season back at this level, and having acclimatised themselves to the higher standard, they went on to achieve a respectable fourth place finish.

This gave them a good springboard for the future, and having made a number of acquisitions over the summer as well as seeing a number of bright young stars come through from the Youth ranks, they are now looking to a sustained championship challenge in this campaign.

The first team is managed by the experienced Steve Phelps, and along with Assistant Manager Nigel Wolfe and coach Nathan Jones, the squad has made fine progress over the past twelve months.

Emma Brazell is club captain, and Sarah Lawler captains the first team, both working hard with the management to gain maximum success on the field of play.

Yeovil Town Ladies are kindly sponsored by the Quedam Centre of Yeovil, and are most grateful for the tremendous support given in what has proved to be an invaluable partnership.

Reserve and Youth Teams

Yeovil Town Ladies operate a first and reserve team, as well as five youth teams, playing at under-12, under-13, under-14, under-15 and under-17 levels.

The reserve team is managed by Chris White, and they achieved third place in the Somerset League last season, also gaining runners up in the Somerset League Cup.

The under-17 team is managed by Kia Bowles, who had a superb season last term winning the League and Cup double.

Last season's under 12's (Now Under 13) won their League championship under the management of Andy Dickinson, while Tam Burns and Mike Board managed the Under 14's (Now Under 15) to third place in the League.

The Under 12's are managed by Amy Jones and the Under 14's by Samantha Grimes, and both these new teams are enjoying good first seasons.

Matches

The first and reserve teams play their home games at the Somerton Sports Club, with the Youth teams playing at the Tintinhull Sport ground near Yeovil.
